C2Life Foundation, is a non-profit organization, working to end hunger & eliminating chronic disease caused by poor nutrition.
At C2Life Foundation, we believe health starts at the end of our fork. That's why our mission is to end hunger & eliminate chronic disease caused by poor nutrition.
Since our launch in 2020, we’ve coordinated the distribution of over 85,000 nutritious meals to more than 25 non-profit organizations throughout WNC. Additionally, during the onset of COVID, we donated the use of commercial food packaging equipment to the Burke County Public Schools to assist in providing healthy meals to local students.
At the height of a global pandemic we could not deny that personal health was paramount & we wanted to affect change through education, nutrition, & community support. In the fall of 2021, we launched THRIVE - Food is Medicine, a 9-week, lifestyle medicine program providing daily education, plant-based nutrition, coaching & group support to those who are ready to make lifestyle changes. Participants learn how lifestyle changes can help prevent, reduce & even reverse risk factors for heart disease, type II diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer's, obesity & more. Over 100 people have enrolled in the program & have successfully incorporated & sustained healthy lifestyle behaviors so they can live longer AND better!
Our work would not be possible without our volunteers & generous donors including Burke Primary Care, Catholic Charities, Kellex Corporation, Mull Foundation, Rostan Family Foundation, Unifour Foundation & the Western NC Community Foundation.

I was drawn to the C2Life Foundation by the commitment to seed healthier communities & those who call them home. I am particularly impressed by C2Life's innovative approach to creating an ecosystem that invests in the health & education of those who need it most; in other words, creating a sustainable solution to impact positive change.

As the result of my husband’s recent experience with cancer, my family & I have started paying more attention to what we are eating, attempting to eat a more natural, healthy diet. C2Life Foundation is built on that foundation so it was a natural fit for me. It also allows me to use my financial & accounting skills to help an organization that is providing so much good to our community.

I was first drawn to C2Life through my partner & I going through their lifestyle medicine program together. My family’s health history was not stellar, & after looking at my past bloodwork, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try something different. Well, it didn't hurt, in fact, it changed my life in many ways! Not only in providing education on better eating habits but also methods on how to improve my quality of life in many different ways. I’m a firm believer in each one, reach one, teach one, & I feel that working with this organization & its mission accomplishes that.

When a stress test revealed blockages in my life long runner heart, I became curious. Curious as to how the food I was eating would make a difference. Now, over 10 years later, I thrive on a whole food plant based diet & still get to climb, run, & enjoy a full existence in my 60's & beyond. The mission of the Foundation "to end hunger & eliminate chronic disease caused by poor nutrition", resonates with the active lifestyle I know many want, but just need the support & guidance to attain. It is a joy to serve & see this mission impacting lives & helping educate, inspire, & share sustainable health.
